Try talking to the county child care committee and see if they know of anywhere looking for staff. Failing that you can download a list of settings from their website and contact them individually. A lot of places would love to have a make staff member, it could be of huge benefit to the kids

I think that's a good selling point, there's not near enough male childcare workers in the profession and I think they're important to have. I'll contact them as you've advised! Thank you!

Good news at last on the jobs front in Wexford -- taken from independent.ie

Scottish company which owns Airtricity, said yesterday that it bought Spanish utility Endesa's Irish operations in a deal worth €488m.

SSE said it will start with the construction of a combined gas turbine power station at the site of the old oil burning facility at Great Island in Co Wexford. The plant will use gas brought in by pipeline.

According to SSE, the expansion will lead to Airtricity taking on 100 people directly while 600 will be employed indirectly through the company's construction plans

This week we appear to have really turned the corner. The Enniscorthy Guardian contains three job adverts, only one of which is in the county and that's for part time bar staff at The Bates Motel The Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey.

A manager is required at the Brooklodge Hotel in Aughrim, County Wicklow and a Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Apprentice is required by Servier in Arklow.
