Up 6lb for that effort, but the winner Maarek has franked the form by finishing a neck 2nd and winning off the same 8lb higher mark. Really rate Murura a lot and think he has a lot of progression left.
Sadly just been informed that he passed away due to injury. Devastating as he was my favourite horse in training

This may explain Cirrus Des Aigles rise to the top last year. The trainer is claiming it's all a big mistake or sabotage and the trainer is supposed to have a clean reputation. If it isn't a mistake, Cirrus Des Aigles should be finished as a top horse as he won't have the help that may have made him one.

I thought about that. I didn't want to start a new thread on it. As this thread is about horses to watch out for in 2012 and he's one of the best horses in the world, anything that potentially impacts on his form has a bearing on the top races and the ante-post markets for them.

This years Japanese Derby Winner Deep Brillante is arriving in the UK tomorrow for a crack at the King George. He's available at 20/1 in places for a race where a 3yo Epsom Derby winner would probably be starting favourite.

They may be striking while the iron is hot by bringing him over this year when he has the 3yo weight allowances in his favour.

He's an almost certain runner, has the weight advantage and it's hard to get excited about St Nic after last years flop in the race. If Nathaniel wins the Eclipse well on Saturday he'll frighten off half the field for the King George. Apart from Sea Moon nothing else in the race looks up to much.

Fly the flag looks a colt with a huge future. Did it nicely tonight and even for Ballydoyle is one of the best bred by Galileo out of Halfway to Heaven. I saw a list they have some really nicely bred two year olds, full brother to Wading and a half sister I think it is to All Too Beautiful by Dansili. The third in that race tonight The Vatican was a real eye catcher too, he's a half brother to Quest for Peace, stayed on really well

I can't edit my above post but that should say a half sister to Wonder of Wonders, whose dam is All Too Beautiful, a full sister to Galileo, by Dansili

Jesus, I don't know are they. In the fillies alone they have 'Say' and 'Where'.

The names are getting more and more egotistical. Was it the same owners or combination of had Wonderful running today? Its like calling a child a ridiculous name and expecting it to live up to it.

Have to say though that I love the name 'Infanta Branca' and I notice there's a colt in Urban's list called 'Infanta Blanca'.

Looked a nice maiden at Newmarket last night with winner looking exceptionally smart, Ashdan was the name for the flying Gosden/Buick combination but another one i took from the race was the Godolphin first string Tamarkuz. Thought he ran a lovely race and Frankie was anything but hard on him when he seen the winner going away and definitely 2 to follow

I put Sirius prospect as a horse to follow at the start of the year
And he has been disappointing as he looked a horse that could challenge for group races.but he hasn't been getting into contention to really challenge.
His main weapon last year was he finished with a burst of speed but we haven't seen that burst of speed this year.
He's been outpaced early in nearly all his races.
I just seen he's entered in group 2 next sat over 7f
And I think this is going to be the perfect trip for him in the future as he can get a chance to settle early and then burst through late.
It's worth knowing that he started his career over 7f and a mile so they didn't expect him to be a sprinter.
I expect big things from him now over further
