He is a great talent agreed!

But lets not forget his record is 1-0-0. I think putting him in with a fighter of 8 fights will be a good test for the kid.

Yeah true karl is only 1-0 but im sure someone with a better record would of been better if Washington pulled of the unthinkable and beat karl he could be facing the likes of jeff monson just seem strange someone with a 1-7 record is getting a chance to fight for the chance to become CC champion

How do you see this one playing out folks?

Slowly, monson was terrible at the adcc, tired and stalling a lot, it might have been down to missing flights and arriving very late with what looked like a very well strapped elbow but he was poor to watch, He is defiantly in the autumn of his career, not a clue about opie but if he pushes the pace monson will get tired

I wonder if the people criticising monson have seen him fight since recently? opie is going to lose, either by unanimous decision or north-south choke

Once again Cage Contender features on Sherdog's 10 Tussles Worth Watching list

Patrick Holohan vs. Artemij Sitenkov
Cage Contender XIV | July 21 -- Dublin, Ireland

A regular subject in this column due to its creative matchmaking, Cage Contender has done it again and delivered another highly intriguing inner-European bantamweight bout. Lithuania’s Sitenkov, the No. 1 flyweight in Europe, will make a onetime move back to 135 pounds to take on Top 5 United Kingdom bantamweight Holohan. “The Hooligan” scored a nice win over countryman Damien Rooney in April and gets another serious bump in competition in the form of the most dangerous lower-weight submission master west of Masakazu Imanari.
Can't wait!

We also have a video of Paddy Holohan coming very soon

A rather frank interview on MMA-Fights.co.uk with Karl Moore ahead of his match up on CCXIV

CAGE CONTENDER: KARL MOORE TELLS US, “I COULD KNOCK JEFF MONSON OUT, IF TIM SYLVIA COULD BEAT THIS BUM SO COULD I”

By Amanda McCallion

John Ferguson has not disappointed with his matchups for Cage Contender 14 yet and he isnt going to start now, Belfast fighter Karl Moore will be facing Brazilian Washington ‘Gigante’ Ferreira in what will be a clash of styles and culture. Karl is regarded by many as having the rawest talent seen in any Irish fighter for many years and is unbeaten at both professional and amateur level. He has already aquired the Battlezone Light Heavyweight Title and this is just the start of Karl’s success many believe. By winning at the Tallaght Arena on July 21st Karl will certainly make a statement that he is ready to make the step up and deliever on all the hype surrounding him. .... READ FULL STORY
