Cheap Envelopes?

Myself and the other half are making our own invites and never even thought to look into envelopes before we got started, we need about 120 Dl sized envelopes in chocolate brown but looking on-line, the best prices I'm seeing are about €50 (and others are over €100!).

Can anyone recommend a source for these in Dublin City Centre or Blanchardstown? Amazed at the price of the things, really didn't expect a few envelopes to cost over €20!

Do they have to be chocolate? What colour will your addresses be then?

diywedding.ie I have found to be reasonable but they don't have chocolate coloured ones.

Otherwise try Easons, Reads. Them being chocolate in colour adds to the price. You'd get them cheaper if they were white or ivory.

Or try this link

The preference is brown as the backing of the invite is that colour. Addresses are going to be done in gold lettering.

The vast multiplication in price for it being in chocolate brown is just crazy, I'd buy a pack of 10-20 in white for a couple of euro, once they're a colour most sites seem to think it's acceptable to charge 50c + per envelope! :O

I'd found that site alright: €48.29 for 130 envelopes including shipping and despite the .ie, they're a UK based firm so collection is out

We bought cheap envelopes in Ivory for our invites and frankly they looked like crap. Very light material and just didn't feel like good quality.
Ended up replacing them with more expensive ones, around the €50-€60 mark and they were far better. Heavier paper and all round nicer look.
Got them from Daintree in Dublin.

I just fail to see how the unit price of even a very nice envelope could be over 20c.

It's insanity, once the word wedding comes anywhere near anything the price quadruples!

Afraid neither have the envelope size we need: DL (an A4 sheet folded in 3 like a business letter)

I have a box (500 ish) DL envelopes 120gsm by a company called Arjowiggins in a cream colour. They are self seal and excellent quality. If they are any use to use I can split the box. You could address them in Brown.

Let me know and we can work something out. I'm going northside later today. If you PM me an address I'll pop one in the letterbox.
