yeah the 7th of Decembruary, only Rockstar employees PCs will be able to run it.

I'm getting the feeling now they won't give us more news 'till the 1 year anniversary of the trailer. It's all guess work, none of us know what's up. There's not many companies that can get away with treating it's customers like this but there's a sick part of me that likes it. GTA V may be the best game of all time, but we've had 8Years of SA and that's a beast that's hard to slay.

Look at your favourite band who you've been into for years. Yeah, they still release good new stuff but you have been listening to their best stuff for 10 odd years already, hell, you have grown up with it. It's special to you, and so it should be. GTA V needs to be special too.

Theres a clip of GTA V in the trailer for Gamescon which is in August. Hopefully this means GTA V will be at it

I know its a c/o under take two, but the fact that they are named means there must be news from them and if its not going to be an announcement for bully 2 (which i would love also) then it can only be..

I doubt it would be anything substantial to be honest. Maybe just a confirmation that they'll be showing off stuff at Gamescom. Showing off stuff at Gamescom would make sense if it were going to be an October release, and would even be a good place to start if it is an April/May release.

I think the ship has long sailed on an October release. No way Take Two would allow them that now.

Unless the spend all their money on the game and have none for ads are are hoping to built up the hype so when the releases is in October the internet will crash with us talking about it and giving them free advertising.

You're most likely correct, but releasing a new trailer at Gamescom would make sense either way. Get the machine running for next year.

GTA is one of the few games that really requires very little advertising. Look at this thread for example. How many people are following this eagerly awaiting some more news? 1600+ posts with what little was in that first trailer, and relatively speaking, the gamer community on boards is just a tiny fraction of the GTA fanbase.

If they were smart (from a business point of view) they could follow the trail of Ubisoft(?) and have a thing on their Facebook page that says once the page reaches Xmillion likes they'll release a new trailer. And bam! Hundreds of thousands of us would be sharing it left right and centre giving them free ads.

Or they release trailer two and at the end is the release data which is 7 days away and just watch the world burn

Max Payne DLC this week. No chance of GTA news. Start thinking about it next week but even that is unlikely so they don't take the attention away from the DLC too soon.
