How do I go about getting a replacement, Google translate is making a dogs' of Amazon.de
I also bought an additional 4GB RAM chip, should I send that back also?

Returning laptop to Amazon.de
Laptop I received 5-6 days ago is definitely faulty.

My returns were always handled by DHL,basically is a pick-up service.
Never heard about returning any item to Amazon.de using the an post . Clarify that with Amazon.de before sending the lappy back to Germany. |

Ask for refund then, not a replacement.
This is the first time I heard that a customer was asked to contact a manufacturer. I'm on my mobile atm but I'm pretty sure that you can return the lappy back to Amazon within 30 days. Don't let them to fob you off, ask for money refund asap. |
