We have two Ashtanga Yoga classes per week at the moment, Wednesday 5.30pm and Thursday 8.30pm and its only 10 euro per class.
The Studios are very relaxed, you can go at your own pace and stop and take a break at any time... there are men and women from 18-60 taking part and beginners are always welcome. We're between the M1 and Northside Shopping Centre, you'll find a map here: http://northsideyoga.wordpress.com/contact/ Last edited by MaeveD; 26-06-2012 at 12:34. |

Hi there,
I know I've heard of tai chi classes in North Dublin but I can't remember where or recommend anyone in particular. Here's an older thread on it. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt...php?p=68906294 and another old post but might be worth trying to contact the teacher anyway: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showp...99&postcount=4 As for yoga, they tend to be all over. Here's one that popped up on a google search: http://iyoga.ie/ (just noticed it has tai chi too) If you can, check with the yoga teacher in advance if their classes would be suitable for you. From what I've heard, it might be better to go for the slower more meditative forms of yoga as these will activate your parasympathetic(soothing/healing) nervous system without involving the sympathetic (fight or flight) which a fast-paced class like Ashtanga might invoke. So I'd look for classes marketed as Hatha, gentle, restorative. . Good luck! |
