I love "Reconnect". It's got a bleak, eighties Killing Joke meets Talk Talk meets House of Love sort of vibe. My kinda thing!

They're from Malahide, their song reconnect is pretty good. You know that station that took over MTV a while ago? They play their video a good bit. Apparently they're set for big things....as they say about everyone with a good first single!

Yeah, superb song all right. I don't like their name though. Director? Sounds lame.

Presumably its from the "Hmm - Editors are a successful band, so what'll we call ours? Key Grip? Dolly? Director... Eureka!" school of thought.

Red Organ Serpent Sound - now there's a name for a band. Cracking single as well.

Hee hee! Totally! Yeah, but they're being a bit different by dropping the "The" and changing the noun from plural into singular. Wow! How innovative! Reeks of pretension and trying to be clever. A bit like The Music. Sorry. Not trying to be mean. Reconnect rocks.
Yes. Red Organ Serpent Sound is indeed a wondrous name.

myself and justcoz went to see them in the village last week. v good gig. the marshals supported them and i thought they were quite good but director took the biscuit. i remember seeing them in school in their uniforms etc and now they are on tv! i think they are brilliant and hope they go on to bigger and better things. looks like they have a busy summer ahead of them!

Seen them as a warm up act before the Goo Goo Dolls in the Ambassdor. Very good band live. Havent heard the studio material yet.

As far as I know, they used to be called 'Business' but there's a Dublin band called 'The Business', so they required a hasty name change. Hence, 'Director'. So there you go.

They're the only band I can clearly remember seeing play at Trinity Ball. They seemed good, got some free badges. Above anything else they just seemed really likable, I hadn't heard them before and within a couple of minutes was jumping around with the my friends.

I used to love the first album from this band back in '06. Anyone know what ever happened to them? Did they break up? I can't find any info on them past 2010. Their website looks like it hasn't been updated in over 2 years.

They were dropped by their label and then split up as far as I can recall. It's a pity, their second album was pretty good too. Seriously old thread to be posting in!
