MOUTHWATCHER VIDEO COMPETITION SCANDAL

Just heard today about the MouthWatchers video competition scandal. You might have heard them on the radio bigging up the awards and prizes. Turns out now, they're not giving anyone anything. Typical of these big wigs getting people to make expensive free videos and then paying up. The head of this company is a disgrace. It's time we stood up against these corporate heads or they'll just keep taking advantage of people's time and money.

Is this the start of the revolution? Where do we meet?

Haven't a clue what you're on about, could you post a link to a news site which has a report on this 'scandal'?

And easy on the caps lock titles please.

FYI

Quote:
€2,000 up for grabs in toothbrush video competition.

MouthWatchers’ video competition will run until mid-April, a winning video and two runner-ups will be announced by a panel at the end of April. The winning video will receive €1,000 and the two runner ups will receive €500.

Unfortunately, due to the low number of entries, the MouthWatchers judging panel has unanimously decided the #brushandtell video competition prizes will be withheld. The panel is hoping to run the competition again and would like to thank those who entered their videos. MouthWatchers will be in contact with the teams..

What did the competition terms and conditions say?

More a case of ineffective pr if there really was a lack of entries rather than a scandal.

I don't know about ineffective pr. The buck stops with the company. It seems like a new brand gaining free publicity and not paying up like they were supposed to. 3 prizes for 8 entries. It doesn't say anything in the terms about quantity of entries being an issue to not hand out awards. they've already run it twice and cancelled both times. Not exactly reliable when it comes to delivering.
