eRepublik

Free to play MMOG that is a mirror on the real world.

Being playing the game for the last 2 months and really starting to enjoy it.

The game has 3 distinct modules, the economy, battlefield and politics. People can focus on 1, 2 or all 3 areas of the game depending on their own preference.

There are lots of different Irish military units each with their own objectives.

There are political parties with elections for the Dail every month. Where decisions such as tax rates, alliances with other countries and different countries are decided.

On the economy front you can work in a company for someone else, setup your own companies or trade the markets to make money.

Recent changes to the battlefield mechanics have made newer players far more powerful so you can join the game and straight away you will be making a massive impact for eIreland.

Right now we are at war with the UK trying to hold Scotland from them

Tom,

I signed up, but not too sure about it. I am already playing e-sim http://e-sim.org/lan.151244/ which is roughly the same type of game.

At the moment I prefer e-sim, but will go back onto eRepublik again, as you need to be paitence, it takes a bit of time to get into these types of games.

Have played both, I think I prefer e-sim, I got a rake (yes an entire rake) of lads I play another game with (FID) to join E-sim about a week or two ago now, and we've set about trying to help the country stop being crap, its not a bad time to give the game a try now seeing as there's a bit of a push to increase activity and help new users.

I gave up on Erepublik after V2.. Whats it like these days?

It is quite good they have made some recent changes to the battle module which have been very good especially for newer players.

They have now split the battle module into four divisions depending on how much experience the players have. Therefore players of all levels are important in winning a campaign and new players can make quite an impact as there are less of them.

Also as they award battle hero gold for each division it is very easy to build up your strength with these medals.
