Focus estates, they were really nice, yes, saw the Astra at the NW200 also, very low profile light bar. Virtually invisible. It was a sweet looking car.

Is that helicopter generating a lot of heat, or is there just a strange blur added to the image behind it?

I don't really know anything about helicopters, to be honest, but I've photographed the Garda helicopter landing and taking off, and I've seen numerous photos of the Coast Guard one doing the same, but I've never seen such a blur/haze created by it/them?!

No blur added to the image - that's how it was. The stream coming out of the exhaust has a very refined edge!

That's a bit mad looking, alright. There's no sign of such from the Garda helicopter when I seen it. Could it be a less powerful engine or such?

(that was on a pretty warm day though, does the temperature out matter? Would that be more noticeable on a cold day?). I never seen anything like it. It looks really odd.

If you look the at the general area the blur is coming from you can see the exhaust from the engine. Im dont know much about helicopters either, but as far as im aware there is some sort of turbo propulsion or something in there (not sure how to say it exactly). Ask the aviation & aircraft forum.

Well a turboshaft (gas turbine) engine if we're going to be correct about it.

I'll say it here so as not to infringe the rules but yes, that HSE spec ambulance was imported from the UK, I first saw it when it was still on UK plates, it replaces a 99 Merc Sprinter which was imported from Wales. That Ambulance even had all the safety messages in Welsh and English inside.
