Hi All,

Could anyone please recommend a true jazz guitar teacher in Cork ? Also which Jazz bands in Cork are a must see ?

I'd love to take at least one lesson from Louis Stewart up in Dublin. Has he a residency somewhere ?

Ian Date is a very good jazz player - he might teach. I don't think Louis teaches these days and anyway he's in Dublin. There's no real work for jazz bands in cork despite the festival vibe so they are few and far between. however, there's a good jam session in the crane lane at 9pm on tuesday nights ( hope it's still going) check it out. If you want to teach yourself - check out the 2 Emily remler teaching videos - youtube - they're a great start.
