I'm trying to source boxes of Velcro in Ireland, or failing that, the UK.

At the moment I purchase them by the metre from a local drapers shop and it works out v expensive, so I would prefer to source them myself. I've looked at a few websites but its proving more elusive than I thought. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

You can buy from Hickeys Wholesale, Parkgate Street, Dublin 8 or Woollen Mills Wholesale, Park West Industrial Estate. Both are open to the public.

I rang Hickeys Wholesalers and you can only buy from them if you're spending a minimum of €300. They told me you can buy a whole box in any regular Hickeys store (€45 for 10m atm). Just an FYI for anyone else looking in future!

I did not know that Hickeys had put a minimum limit on the amount you can sepnd. I have been buying from them for years and there was never a minimum amount you had to spend.
They dont have a web site.

You could also try Heart Educational Supplies In Galway. They are a habadashery mail order company. They have boxes of velcro at 15.23 for 10 Meters.

Very late seeing this but just in case anyone else is looking, Gibtex ltd in Louth are the official distributors of wholesale velcro products in Ireland. Minimum order quantity is just one roll, price depends on size. If you call them on 041 9836701 they will check stock for you and usually would send stuff out immediately if they have it.
