BMW lost out badly to Audi in the UK after previous 2 winters due to rwd only and run flat wide tyres on a lot of models.

Its main reason want the 4WD gets very icy and snowy were live most winters and sick of trying to drive it in a honda civic and diesel because petrol is getting bit to expensive to drive 80Km to work and back everyday

Bar the A8, Q7, Q5 and Allroad, very few Audis are 4WD. Although there is an option for the A4/A6, Quattro versions are like hen's teeth.

Just so you know, a two wheel car on winter tyres will easily outperform an AWD car on summer tyres in snow and ice. AWD is nice to have, but winter tyres are the game changer.

I know I'm planning on doing the same thing did with the Honda, having second set of wheel with winter tyres that are put on around October/Novemeber til January/Febuary. My current car struggles to get up the hill or doesn't get up so need more power and torque which the car mentioned so far have at least double that of my current car. With the 4WD and winter tyres think should be ok to get up to my house.
