Hi all,
who do you use for equipment insurance in Ireland? Just did an inventory - and I'm a bit scared about theft........

The insurance should cover in situ and location as well.

If you ring campion insurance they will find you a good policy, from my experience they are very good to deal with and won't rob you for €,€€€.

If your stuff is in your house and no one item is above a certain threshold (check with your insurer, in my case it's €3k) then your house insurance will cover it. Just make sure to photograph everything so you can back up your claim.

Thanks, it's covered by that now but it does not cover it on location etc. Many of the items are way over 3k anyway - this is a full-on location rig in need of cast-iron cover

If it's deemed to be items you use for work, you're not covered by your householders insurance, even IN the house. I had this pointed out to me only last week by my insurance company.
