Competent Crew Courses?

So do you guys have any recommendations for good places to do a competent crew course?

Are they all the same price?
(They all seem to be when I've looked them up)

Would like somewhere that builds a few contacts or helps out with finding crewing opportunities afterwards. For that, I guess around Dublin is best since that's where I'm based, but if there's a suitable course/cheaper course/better course I'm open to ideas.

I haven't sailed since I was in my early teens, but I always enjoyed it, and I'm 30 now and feel like trying something new. I also have a few relatives who will hopefully take me out on their boats, but I'd like to do the proper course first.

These are a few that occurred to me off the top of my head - all based in Dun Laoghaire, but that's where I'm most familiar with. I'm sure if you contacted Howth or Malahide yacht clubs or marinas they could point you to more based over that side.

All the DL clubs do adult sail training - it's mostly aimed at racing, but will get you familar with a boat and being a good and effective crew member. That could be another option, although you won't get a certificate at the end of it (I think). The club I'm in is running the course in June for three weeks, using both dinghies and keelboats, I can put you in touch with them if you want, just PM me.

CYBC in Clontarf has one starting this evening. The club based adult training tend to be the best for getting contacts for future sailing.
