The great Ebay/Paypal scam

Ok you would wan't to be an idiot not to read the terms and conditions of selling on Ebay and Paypal. I have read them and understand that they hold payments for 21 days for new sellers with less than 90 days selling experience. But I am not a new seller and have 100% feedback not one blotch on my feedback ever. It happened two weeks ago luckily the seller left me back very positive feedback even emailing me telling me how he was getting on with the product he bought off me. I called Paypal to complain about this as even though he left the positive feedback they never released the payment. They sorted it some bimboish yank saying sorry about it on the phone saying it will never happen again. Then right now it does happen again. WTF are they playing at. Would I have a option to complain about this crowd of ******* to the NCA or Financial regulator as I am meeting all terms and conditions and they have no right to hold my money.

reading the terms and conditions and understanding them is not enough .

You need to follow the procedures as well .

If you do so , you will find Paypal to be very secure for buyers and sellers .

Check your Paypal notifications .

Have you :
1. confirmed your email address
2. added the correct cards
3. linked your cards
4. confirmed your cards
5 any other requests

Its difficult to follow your post when you say :

With positive feedback left on the item sold, if i was a new seller the money is supposed to be released immediately not after 5 phone calls 3 days later. But I am not a new seller and I broke no terms & conditions that would place restrictions on me. When I click on the 'not a new seller link' it just brings me to a blank page. I have sold about 58 items since 2011 this payment hold is suppose to be only for new sellers. From now on it's adverts.ie I'm using. Well done to the staff in Boards for setting up an amazing site never had any issues with it.

And oops I meant the product I sold him lol.

This excerpt is in your Paypal User Agreement :

Quote:
PayPal may in its sole discretion (acting reasonably) place a hold on any payment. If PayPal places a hold on funds in your Account, we will notify you about it (including, without limitation, how long the hold may last) - the funds will be held in your Reserve Account and those funds will be shown as “pending” in your PayPal Balance.
b. PayPal will release the hold made on your payment under this provision when PayPal determines that the Transaction Risk; or risk or exposure associated with your Account, no longer exists. For example, for a hold made on a payment for an item purchased on eBay, PayPal may release the hold when the buyer leaves positive feedback.

Surely with a feedback percentage rate of 100% never any disputes what's the 'transaction risk' although i did change my bank account details come to think of it. Maybe that's why.

You should be thankful that such stringent procedures are in place to protect users from scammers.

How can I be thankful that my money is held for up to 21 days for not breaching any terms and they still take a percentage out of it even though it inconveniences me I have bills to pay. I can't tell Meteor this week oh I'm putting a hold on your money for 21 days. Have to use a credit card or put cash in the bank to pay it now. It can be a great place to buy stuff but avoid it like the plague if you are selling anything. At least with adverts.ie Sure it ain't 100% perfect (my experience with it was always positive) but you have none of this BS.

For dodgy people with negative feedback they should enforce this but not on sellers like myself who just want to get rid of stuff and 100% upfront with what I am selling.

You need to have over 100 fb to not receive ebay holds.
