Euro 2012 Away Matches...

I've never tried to get tickets for away matches before, and was wondering where to start...

Wanting about 5 or 6 tickets for the game in Macedonia.

Is there a lottery system when the tickets are on sale? Do I need to register an interest for tickets beforehand? If so, where? On the FAI site?

Any info appreciated, as always.

you send a email to the fai.stating the game you are interested in,thats it afaik.i think they contact you nearer the date then with an application form for a ballot type system.

as far as flights are concerned, i think you can go via Cologne (Germanwings), or Vienna (with Austrian)

Yeah just keep an eye on FAI website and it will say when you have to send an email to them to get an application form for tickets. 10 Year ticket holders / Block Bookers get preference then if there are tickets left they are balloted for the rest of the applications.

I posted a thread on this last night but it hasn't appeard yet, probably cos my question is answered in this one!

I'm living in Vienna from August and want to his the Slovak game, hopefully there will be a chance of getting a ticket.

For the OP, Skopje is a really cool city, would'nt mind seeing an Ireland game down there. It's around a 6 hour train journey from Sofia, where you can fly direct to from Ireland (I think!).

Also, for such a small city there's a really high proportion of Irish pubs, and they love the Irish. Probably something to do with them being a small independant counry too. Great place though.

Macedonia was a class trip, we flew into Albania then drove down, immense experience! Skopje was a cool place, locals were really welcoming and result helped lead to all these euro threads

Hi Michael

Any chance you have any of the tickets left to sell. There is a group of 3 of us going, none of us have tickets, UEFA gave me 1/4 1/2 & final tickets if Ireland get through but never gave me the group stage tickets. We have being trying the portal with no luck. We are going to the game in Dublin if that would help to meet up. Just said i'd take a chance. Thanks Thomas
