Useless fact: The singer in Filter is the younger brother of the guy who played the T-1000 in Terminator 2...so....there ya go.

so many memories, and so many amazing tunes - a few of my faves:

Powder - Afrodisiak
Went to see them live in some very dodgy places, some of the first ever CDs i ever bought were Powder and Salad

Salad - Drink the Elixir

The Auteurs - Light Aircraft on Fire

Psychedelic Furs - India
Remember flying into Delhi airport at about 3am scrabbling to rewind the tape so i could listen to this as we came in to land

Komputer - Looking down on London
The genre is not really my bad, but i was at the same university as the guys in the band (a fair few years later) and recognized a lot of places they sang about in the song

David Devant and his Spirit - Ginger
Played at the university summer ball, bumped into the band and had some pints - weird and fun evening

One Dove. Whatever happened to them? Dot Allison went on to make a few more albums I think.

Love the One Dove album 'Morning White Dove', still dip into that now and again - produced by Andy Weatherall and you can really hear similarities to Screamadelica in terms of his touch.
