Carter is now 8/1. Both players are no where near their best right now, so that might be worth it. That 8/1 is with Carter only 3 frames down.

The match could go anyway currently in my opinion, so having Carter 8/1 and Ronnie at 1/20 is a tad disrespectful.

the bookies always look at just where the money is at. alot of people are backing Ronnie obviously. Ali needs to finish this session 10-7. If he can do that he still has a shot. Most players have one bad session in the final

Seriously though I fancy Carter to take the next session. He could have easily capitulated. He'll sleep better tonight

I feel the same way. Usually any bet I make that is approaching 10/1 is a shot in the dark, and I think it would be pure luck to get the money back. However, I feel he has a good solid chance here.

However, seeing as they are both below par right now, they could both play much better tomorrow, and if Ronnie is the one that steps up a gear, then he will be hard to beat.

Anything can happen. If Ali could manage 5-3 in the next session, that's just a single frame going into the last session. Obviously Ronnie could run away with it, but I have a feeling we'll be in for a late night tomorrow. Fair play to Ali anyway for keeping himself in with a chance, he'll know himself he's played well below par, but he's by no means out of it. That's what's important at this stage. Peter Ebdon never made it easy for himself either

Not a big fan of O'Sullivan, but have to admit he is a very deserving champion.
Played the best snooker all tournament.
