Anyways I think allowing Ryan ruin his "career" and destroy RTE flagship programs into the bargain should suit us all fine.

RTE is a cesspit of nepotism, favouritsm, back scratching and cronyism.

The quicker it goes away/privatised the better.

And let the "stars" see what its like in the real world where its merit not connections that count.

I would agree with you, but the problem is that no matter what way it manifests itself, only the taxpayer loses... I mean Aoife Kavanagh resigned tonight from her job, but everybody else was carefully moved out of the limelight, either to a lucrative pension or to similar wage in a different department.. They make mistakes costing MILLIONS, and they do not suffer because of those mistakes.. no accountability at all..

just watching the repeat. love Terry Pratchett so had to tune in. DLB is so stilted and embarrassed? or tentative? i dont know, he does not seem to have any idea of TPs output or genre, and he is so scared of this topic he does not want to have the conversation.
i am not sure if the lls has a future, i just know that DLB is not an empathetic person or even that interested it seems. i think you have to have at least a passing interest in conversation and other people to present a chat show.
