CBS Sports I think, and it wasn't a great setup to be honest. Not sure if there are other college fantasy options.
We also had all the divisions which I found a bit much.

I got an e-mail from CBS today about their college fantasy, it seems you are able to choose which conferences are in play. Which other websites do college fantasy?

Also, put me down as interested in a league if you guys are playing this year

Last year we played on CBS which was ok I think. Is everybody happy with that or do we want to move to another site?

UCD AFC is booked as first reserve if somebody pulls out.

I think CBS is fine, I just think our problems last year was no one was really sure of the time frames for the waiver wire but we got it sorted later in the season. I'd be happy to stick to CBS again, and for what it's worth, I was happy with the selection of conferences we had (all FBS).

The big problem last year was towards the end of the season when the schedules got more irregular, people weren't keeping an eye on the schedule and thus missing waiver / team-selection cut off times. CBS can't be blamed for that tbh.

Didn't we have an inactive team last year if Im not mistaken? UCD AFC could take that place.

I sent out emails to everybody and we'll see who signs back up. I'll give it three weeks and then if there are spots available we can add people who want to join up.

On the divisions I think its fine the way it is. Theres less chance of a bad team making the playoffs and its good for a change from the normal format I think but this is a majorty rules thing so if people want to change it then thats fine.

Are we stuck with the generic team names? Also what's up with the players that are currently on my roster? I take it these are just the leftovers until the draft comes along?

The problem last year was that the rules seemed to change mid season.

Towards the beginning of the year you could pick up free agents before the deadline and add them to your team. Somewhere during the season they seemed to introduce a waiver system where players had to clear waivers. This meant that if you wanted a player you had to wait a few days before he would clear waivers. However with the way games were scheduled there wasn't enough time to do this between the end of one week and the beginning of the next.

If that's going to be the case this year it makes a complete mess of the whole league in my opinion.

Secondly I'd like to see us reduce the number of divisions we are playing with. Last year we had all the divisions, which resulted in my team being full of players I'd never get a chance to see playing. I'd prefer to go with BCS only as it will give me some small chance to actually do some research and watch a few games and make some sort of informed decision. Last year it seemed like I was selecting players based on stats sheets only and it was as if the players weren't even real.

Just my thoughts anyway.

Having a bit of a look through the options and there seems to have been improvements.

You can pick your own team name now.

You can have the waiver wire period end when the first game starts in the week

or

You can have it that it ends when the first game on a Saturday starts.

There is other stuff too. So lets have a discussion about it when we get everybody signed up again.

Anybody who is interested in joining up put your name down here and if we have dropouts I will contact you and add you.
