It looks like he has not formally reported the car as stolen, if he does than hes son could end up in prison. But he wants his insurance company to pay up.
It looks like this criminal wants everything his own way.
Not formally boss, yes he took it but not formally boss. Ah go-on boss, ah go on boss, give me 24,000 for the auld car boss.

He claims that he also mentioned it in an incident “around 2010”, when he gave a statement to gardai while standing in a tree with a rope around his neck.

“I told them if they didn’t take my statement, I would hang myself. They took the statement when I was up in the tree with a rope around my neck.”

And save the life of this fine upstanding member of society?

Feck him. Let him starve...until he changes his mind. No way will the scumbag thug follow through on his stunt.

As has been said about hunger strikes, they were used in times o political desperation for noble causes. This twat just cheapens the others who made the ultimate sacriice.

I hope I don't come across as insensitive, but I wouldn't miss him if he was gone.

He's got a pretty warped sense of justice.

Passed by him a few times today and yesterday.
He stands out on the road with his placard, so if the hunger-strike doesn't get him a passing Truck probably will....
The local Guards also seem to be keeping half an eye on him too so probably only a matter of time before he is hauled away for obstructing traffic or something.

"Mr McDonagh began his hunger strike on Saturday, having last week told the Limerick Leader that he was prepared to die in his campaign for “justice”. "

Suggest AXA offers to pay up upon successful completion of his hunger strike as stated.

Admits he knows one of his sons stole the car but didn't set fire to it.

Oh, that's alright then...
