Pity I didn't see this sooner. What's the Prog? And I'm not sure about the Reverse Win and Out? First person across the line wins and then winner of next lap is second, winner of third lap is third etc?

Rev win and out (Reverse win and out) - 3 sprints - winner of the first gets 1 point and is then out of the race. Winner of the 2nd gets 2 points and is then out. The question is whether to try and bag the early points, or wait for the final sprint when you can get 3 points. Win and out (not in reverse) gives most poinst to the winner of the first sprint, who is then out

I'm guessing "prog" is points race, as I cannot see it anywhere else

prog might be progressive, first few laps are neutral with the pace lifting each lap and a bell for when the race is on. its longer than a keirin so no sprint at the bell!

Grand, thanks. At least it looks like the rain will stay away.

Anyone know if they will attempt to run the events that were rained off last night? I'm assuming it was a complete abandonment of the meeting, but if they do try and re-run it tomorrow evening I'll try and get down again

I don't think they'll be run Friday tbh. Similar situation in the summer league and we simply changed the informal racing day at the end to a proper race day. If that makes sense. At the same time, I think anyone would got points last night will keep them. I hope anyway.

If memory serves, we all got three races on the added day. Shame for the kids yeah. They were great to watch the previous week.

It's headed an "informal" race day and they had to use it last autumn because of a previous postponement. However because it's getting darker much earlier by the end of August, they tend to do races that have a lot of participants, rather than team pursuit, flying 200 and team sprint types. Even then it's a struggle to get everything in, particularly if large numbers are turning up

It's a pity about last night - I was looking forward to my first Team Pursuit (although the hare & hound virtually turned into one for me and the UCD guy anyway)
