I work in a supermarket and I was in the cash and carry the other day. I couldn't get over the price of party type stuff. ie cans of soft drinks, boxes of crisps and sweets. The supermarket is much cheaper.

I know the packets of crisps are bigger in the cash and carry boxes. 37g v 25g in the miltipacks in the supermarket.

Funny though - Those 500ml bottles of Coke were € 1.50 or thereabouts in most convenience stores last year. Now they're € 1.60 - € 1.70. So, between 20c and 40c per litre added on. Does Coca Cola production costs go up that much in such a short space, bearing in mind that those type of increases (up to 40c a litre) in petrol would cause an outcry.

The 330ML ones seem to be stamped with €1 as the price, mostly, so the retailer can't rip you off.

true, but ask for more than you're worth and no employer would hire you.... Plus you'll also be the first to go in any cutbacks
