Been far too long without a kit, got a supreme itch today and needed to scratch it, so I hacked together what might loosely be called a 'cocktail kit' (yeah right )

Sounds absolutely ****e but I'm having so much fun

After a long and arduous wait, I present to you one of Ireland's first OR15s. Or at least the first sold by an Irish retailer.

Picked this up recently and pretty damn happy about that. It's a crazy looking guitar that sounds damn cool. Extremely well built too. It just feels so solid.

It's a 2000 Yamaha SGV800. It still had the plastic on the pickguards. I took that off, cleaned it up and used some swirl remover on the paint (some very tiny scratches were visible). It looks amazing now. The bridge is so smooth and the tuners are pretty damn good too - Sperzel locking! Sounds are very cool too... can go super bright like a tele almost to nice and dark but still has good clarity in the notes. It rips with both clean and dirt. Clips are on the way when I get time.

It was missing the trem arm, but I contacted Yamaha and they're sending me one for a reasonable price - around 15 pounds including shipping & tax. Lovely people to deal with!

only issue is the tiny chip which i'll fix

GLOW in the FREAKING dark inlays! :O

Pics of my G&L ASAT Special Deluxe 'No Top' - essentially a mahogany-bodied ASAT with an LP Jnr colour scheme.
