Q's on LA

Hi, I'm staying in Santa Monica in LA for the next 2 weeks and I was hoping for a little help with some questions I have. I looked a bit online and can't seem to get the answers I need, so any help at all would be really great.

1: I hope to go to the disney centre to see the philharmonic. Are there any places that sell cheap tickets for these events, or should I just go ahead and buy full price tickets.

2: Same Q but for LA Laker games

3: I was hoping to do a theme park. Of the 3 that are here, which one is the best. I really love thrill rides, so this would be a priority for me. The reviews of Disney and Universal are not great in the guide book. Is this true in your experience? Are there ways of getting cheaper tickets to these also?

4: Are there any hidden gems, restaurant wise, that I should go to while here? I consider myself a bit of a foodie and would love some tips in the right direction. I don't mind price, or venue, as long as the food is amazing.

5: I was at the Getty today and the LACMA yesterday. I loved the Getty but the LACMA was a bit of a let down. Are there any other tourist sites that I should not miss while here?

Thank you so much for your time. As I said already, I would really appreciate any help that you can give.

Don't know much about philharmonic so I can't comment.
As for Lakers tickets, not usually much in terms of cheap tickets, maybe stubhub online but I reckon they're pretty much face value tickets.

Been to Universal and loved it, couple of really good rides like Simpsons, mummy returns, and they've added king kong which is supposed to be great. Also loads of great stuff such as the studio tour where you'll see some great location stuff, sets and props. Don't think you can get cheap tickets, pick up a flyer on Hollywood Blvd that might get you $5 off or something like that. Great thing about Universal is that it's on the red line so transport there is simple and cheap. If you have a car even better but if not just bus it to Hollywood and then get the red line.

As for fancy food, Wolfgang Puck's Spago is great, it's near Wilshire and Rodeo approx.
In-n-Out Burger is unmissable while in LA, lots of locations and the handiest is probably on Sunset and Orange (back of the Roosevlet hotel).
Order a double double with grilled onions (make sure you ask for grilled onions as they're not mentioned on the menu) and animal fries (also not listed on the menu but worth getting)
Another LA favourite is Pinks hot dog stand on melrose i think but you'll have to look it up. It's famous coz of all the celebs who eat and have eaten there. Also a new one in the airport but the original is worth checking out but be warned there are always lines.

Check out Dodger stadium even if you have no interest in baseball. It overlooks downtown and is a great day/evening out. Team are haveing their home opener in the next day or so.
Absolutely go to the griffith park observatory, ideally at night. Griffith park is amazing and the view of LA is great from up there.

LA Lakers? I'm guess that those tickets arent easy to come by at short notice.

I agree with the above. try Stubhub. Or craigslist.

Go to a baseball game as well if you get the chance. there's nothing like baseball for a slice of american life and dodger stadium is really convenient to downtown LA.

you need to check craigslist for all of the above.

tickets are usually a fraction of the price.

Americans usually buy well in advance and then when they don't use them coming up to their expirey date they try to get some of their money back

We got two tickets to sea world san diego for $45 and four tickets for disney for $80 off it.

was looking there jsut now because we want to go to universal studios and tickets are about €45 for two!
