New Ross band called The Rusty Fixtures. Pretty much a cover band at the mo with only one or two songs of their own i think. Good lead singer, they seem decent!

+1 for Villagers and The Barley Mob, but seriously, how has no one mentioned The Riptide Movement yet?!
You can download "Hot Tramp" free from their website; trm.ie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmBmorzS7bg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LqJiBVoyqM Seen them about 7 or so times live, they've never disappointed me for sure! They busk on Grafton most Saturdays too

Good Bands
I don't know if people have already mentioned these bands but
The Ambience Affair are really great So too are Planet Parade Also The Manhattan Syndrome (www.themanhattansyndrome.com) need a plug here, debut E.P goes down a treat. Then you have We Cut Corners who are right on the cusp of mainstream success right now. Little X's for Eyes too. Oh, and The Notas. That should keep you going. All these bands have pages and their music on facebook so just search them up there. They're all gigging a lot around Dublin too so go see them live! |
