Quick question... I'm trying to properly reference electricity prices for a project. I'm using the Eurostat database but this only gives a single rate per kWh. Is there any way I can use this rate to get an appropriate night rate value as well??

The reason there is only a single rate is because they are giving what is known as the "AUP" - average unit price.
It takes into account both the day and night rates.
If you want to do rough estimates, the night rate can typically be approximately half the day rate.
Off the top of my head, in Ireland, SME night rates are about 8c at the moment and around 15-16c for the day rates.

Prices are €/MWh , divide by 10 to get cent per unit

NB peak price, especially when getting to weekday peak is for a short time and many multiples of base price


it's not the consumer price but you can see where it would be cheaper to pay some customers not to use electricity at peak time than supply it to them at an averaged rate

You won't.
Prices for the large industrial customers are drawn up on an individual basis for large users by the energy supply companies and can vary from customer to customer based on their usage profile.
Prices are considered commercially sensitive so are not released to the general public or even the likes of SEAI.
It's an ongoing battle being fought between the CER and the supply companies.
