damn, that's not cheap.

there's also the 'grill pod' and 'grill dome' which looks like they're pretty much just copies, but it's all based off the original kamado grill, so i doubt the big green egg people could get copyrights or patents etc. for it. i'm not even sure who did it first out of those three anyway.

I got mine from Room outside in Limerick. back in 2006. the thing is expensive. Because it is ceramic I use it all year round and not worry about it. I use it weekly even in the snow.

They are worth the expense "if you use it as much as me", but if you are only an occasional user then it's a very expensive toy.

It's great for smoked turkey(3-6 hours depending on how smokey i want it), ribs(4 - 8 hour), pork belly (10 hours), etc, I love slow cooked smoked meat, but it also does the best steaks ever, crack up the heat to 600F and cook for about 2 mins on each side (depending on thickness) with the lid closed, the fat is caramelised and the meat is lovely and rare, yum.

Not much imo.
There is enough fat to make them crispy in the skin already. No need to deep fry them imo.

Long thread, but I tried searching.
Are these gluten free? Probably not.
I was telling the fincée how nice they were, but she's coeliac. Are they gluten free?

It may be best to call the restaurant & ask them directly rather than relying on random internet peeps.

Don't think there's any gluten in chicken, Franks, butter or vinegar so should be alright.

there might be gluten in them if they dust the wings in regular flour (as i'm sure some places would) to help the sauce stick, but if they only use cornflour that would be gluten free (barring any cross contamination).

I know some recipes call for them to be dusted in flour. I'm sure they'd do you a batch without if you couldn't eat gluten. As others say - best to ring!

E&C is welllllll over rated. Such a let down.

If you want cheap and unbelievably tasty wings id recommend Buffalo 19 in Rathmines. It's fast food take away place but has plenty of seating inside.

Defo worth visiting

As has been stated previously the E&C wings are over rated. There are better wings in Dublin.

However I had amazing wings at a friends BBQ at the weekend. Easily the nicest I have eaten, homemade sauce, crispy............just perfect.

I intend to get the recipe and open a wing hut post haste or at the very least have a BBQ and do up a big batch of them.

TRULY DELISH
