Just an idea I had:

Could a section be added say in Motors for each Marque, I know that there are dedicated sites for most marques but if this was added then I'd say a lot of users would use it.

This way people with the same cars could swap ideas, parts, fixes etc??

-1. The motors forum is a great collection of people. If they were all divided into groups it would dilute the forum and kill it. Also imo you'd have someone for example posting in "ford" and and getting a barrage of "sure what does he/she know they drive a fiat.

Apart from the fact that it would result in a ludicrous number of sub-forums, in which forum would you put a thread comparing the relative merits of a Merc vs a BMW, for example?

-1 here. The main motors forum flows along quite nicely and most if not all questions about all cars get answered.
