Where has Accu Weather mountain forecast gone to?

Hi,

Does anyone know where the Accu Weather mountain forecast has gone to? It used to be available at the UK & Ireland accu weather website but this now seems to default to the .com website.

Anyone know if it still exists? It doesn't seem to be listed and also isn't mentioned in any of their premium services. It had been around for years.

Seems to be gone I've sent off a comment to them via their website, but no reply (apart from an automated one) yet.

We really could do with specialized outdoor pursuits oriented weather forecasts over here like the ones they have in the UK for the Lake District for example ...

BTW If you click on the above link, while you're there, check out the photo (top right) of the top of Helvellyn from today

Was thinking the exact same thing myself. It was down/gone on Wednesday last as I was hiking and was trying to get a forecast.

With regard to the Wicklow Mountains specifically, there's a quite detailed forecast pinned up on the noticeboards around Glendalough that also used to be available via the DWMRT website which also disappeared without trace a few years back. I tried contacting Met Eireann about it but didn't get very far beyond a generic response.

Maybe Accuweather was sued by the people who own the word 'accurate' for false advertising.

I know Kerry is tricky, but they never really got the fact that the intensity of the rain is important, and that showers are not the same as days of monsoon...

Has anyone tried this site:

http://www.mountain-forecast.com/

I've used it a few times and it seemed reasonably accurate, except for the Brandon area which seems to defy all attempts at forecasting

Today Brandon will be nice and pleasant on one side and something completely different on the other...
