Was the timing belt replaced lately...?
The injector pump on these are on slots so there is a certain amount of adjustment....But this is not normally adjusted. See if there are any codes logged....If there are i'd be guessing you'll have p0170. |

If you look at the injectors you will see one with a wire attached to it...check
the wiring back to the connector and make sure its not broken and there is a good connection on the plug. If all looks o.k maybe pop in another injector or go to a diesel specialist to get it checked out. Unplug the connector and listen if it sounds the same when unplugged/ plugged in...? |

The Modus would have a function for checking the fuel trim across the 4 injectors in its live data, assuming its a common rail injection system. Have a look at the figures during part load driving and see if any of the figures are way different from the others. That would give you an idea of a faulty injector.
Im asuming if course that basis like oil level and correct weight and coling system efficiency have been checked... |

Its worth checking wiring back to engine ecu before you go fitting an injector.
Pin 1 from injector (Cable no 1388) go's to J2 on ecu. Pin 2 from injector (cable no 1260) go's to K3 on ecu. Both are on the 48 way ecu connector. |
