I don't know if this is the right site or not, but may I ask this question please?
Is it possible to get an inverted question mark on an Irish bought laptop?

Mods, move if appropriate.

NoHornJan, if you have MSWord or Open Office, it's in the "Insert>Special characters/symbols" part. You can reset the shortcut from there (mine is AltGr+?).

Create by the good people from Rosetta Stone, this is an excellent medium to chat with native spanish speakers from around the world and find language exchange partners.
Check it out you won't be disapointed !

Hold down Alt and type 0191 (numbers typed on the numeric keypad) is the easiest way I know. ¿No problema?

Great site for learning languages through flash-cards, dialogues etc. You need to sign up for it.

After having wasted a lot of time on different Spanish apps and courses just thought I'd point to the ones that proved useful for me:

Michel Thomas - this is an audio course that is really brilliant - I've given it to a few people and everyone who's used it has found it really helpful. The whole course as far as the end of the advanced course only takes about 30 hours (although you'll prob have to repeat some things), and that gives you enough to be able to conjugate any verb and quite a bit of vocab.

I've used Rosetta Stone previously which is now pretty much defunct imo given that there are apps that do the same thing more usefully for less than a tenth of the price.
I also had a loan of the tapes for berlitz and they were laughably bad.

Apps I found useful:
Babbel - Only vocab but they have you repeat words at the right intervals so that it goes in.
Busuu as mentioned above is really good - the lessons aren't all that great but the writing gets reviewed by native speakers which is really useful (you can use it for free but most of the lessons you need to pay 15 euro in total (or 5 euro for each lesson)).

There are heaps of apps out there - Maria's Spanish Class is one a lot of people use, but I found it pretty slow; Hola conversational spanish (89c) - lots of phrases, but some of the translations aren't correct and a lot of repetition giving the same phrase 3 or 4 times for female and groups etc.

Podcasts - Notes in Spanish Inspired Beginners. These are really excellent - lots of useful language presented very simply. You would be better off knowing some verbs at least before starting the podcasts, I think, because they don't explain why a verb is conjugated a certain way.

Websites - http://howlearnspanish.com/2012/09/s...ubtitles-free/ link to a guy's blog where he lists all the best sites to watch TV and radio in spanish (sometimes with trannscripts). He seems to be advertising Synergy Spanish, which hasn't got good reviews elsewhere, so I'd take his gushing reviews with a pinch of salt but using his links is a very quick way to find tv you're interested in in spanish

iTalki.com - this is a site I haven't used but where you can apparently meet native spanish speakers and practice speaking with them (they'll be speaking back to you in English). Like an online intercambio using Skype. Great idea for practicing your speech.
