The cinematography within Kill List created the dark, gritty and unsettling sense that was needed to make one of the more original British flicks in years.
The past films of Terrence Mallick have been noted for their fabulous camera and lighting moods and The Tree of Life was no different.

Melancholia...the opening 10 minutes or so were just mesmerising and I loved the natural feeling 1st person wedding portion of the film. The hand held shots drew you in inquisitively and subtely, holding your attention steadfastly without feeling in any way shakey. It really was a joy to watch.

Edit: To clarify as a film I found it started to lose its coherence from the halfway point becoming almost an artsy parody towards its climax but was impressive to watch nonetheless. He would have been much better off imho leaving out the dodgy fantasy/astromomical angle totally and it would have been a much more focused and effective film about depression.
