Hey guys,
Iv been living in Canada for 7 months now and I love it here so far! Im working in a bar at the moment but I came here seeking a Graduate Marketing job. Iv had a good few interviews but I cant seem to land a job, is anyone else finding the same problem? Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you

If it's any consolation I'm in the exact same boat. I'm a master's graduate with little experience and cannot seem to get work in my field here despite trying for 7 months - I'm so glad that I'm not the only one having this hassle.

When you say "graduate", I assume you mean a job that would suit someone with zero experience. Temping is the way to go. Try getting temp work in an area closer to your field than bar work. When you go to the interview explain that you have your second-year visa lined up and that you plan to pursue permanent residence.

Companies aren't going to invest tens of thousands of dollars in you just so you can pack up and leave at the end of your visa.

Whereabouts are you located?

Do you have a linkedin profile? Try to leverage contacts that you meet out and about... maybe do some work pro-bono for someone so you can get some recommendations. You're in marketing so get creative and market yourself
