On Linux
easily. On Windows you'd have to use "Ad hoc" (which is bad) or get 3rd part Airpoint Software. Then you can use Internet Connection Sharing.... On Mac Also possible. But the iPhone has its own 3G. |

yeah was hoping to do it with software, i have ics set up and have used it before with a playstation but when i set it up to share over wifi, i dont know if there is anything else i need to configure

I managed to do this. I have an 02 compass 888 dongle. I had it connected to my windows xp pc , i enabled connection sharing and connected a wifi router to the pc via ethernet cable. I now have a wireless conection form my o2 dongle.
