C&c3 is not supported wiht vista 64bit but it runs just fine.
I seem to remember that you had to do a work around to get it working (ie it works fine but refuses to install). This was on XP 64bit (again, if i remember it right) so probably same applies for vista. |

I know this is a long time ago, but I found a quick/easy solution:
You need to edit the options.ini file in: "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data\Options.ini" for generals, or, for Zero Hour: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Options.ini Here is original Options.ini entries for Generals: AntiAliasing = DrawScrollAnchor = GameSpyIPAddress = 0.0.0.0 Gamma = 50 IPAddress = 0.0.0.0 IdealStaticGameLOD = High LanguageFilter = false MoveScrollAnchor = MusicVolume = 55 Resolution = 800 600 SFX3DVolume = 79 SFXVolume = 71 ScrollFactor = 50 SendDelay = no StaticGameLOD = Low UseAlternateMouse = no VoiceVolume = 70 Copy all to new text file in notepad save as Options.txt and change .txt to .ini. This is default setup.ini for C&C Generals, so you can adjust your own settings later in options menu. Or edit it directly in ini file... P.S.: If you own ATI card set AntiAliasing = 6 (maximum) If you own NVIDIA card set AntiAliasing = 4 (maximum) |
