Ryanair has released copies of its letter dated 2nd July 2009 to the Chief Executive of the IDA in which the airline says it provided written guarantees of its plans and intention to use Hangar 6 for heavy maintenance only. Download the letter as a pdf from the B&F website

Aer Lingus to move hq to hangar 6? Does this explain a lot of the goings on at Dublin Airport over the last week?? Aviation experts are saying it would be a very smart move by Aer Lingus that would free up a 13 acre site in the heart of the airport and block Ryanair's terminal ambitions.

We should be surprised that no one suggested that they share or sub-divide the hanger. After all, the hangar is twice the size that Ryanar is building in Glagow and it is patently obvious that Aer Lingus does not need all the space.

However, it would appear that all parties concerned in this dispute are, in reality, working on the basis of hidden agenda, that none are prepared to voice.

That said, if there is a reasonable probablility that the jobs proposed by Ryanair will materialise then they must be given the benefit of the doubt.

Aer Lingus, as the former employer of these workers must shoulder some responsibility in this regard.

It would appear to be likely that Aer Lingus are colluding with Aer Rianta / DAA & Mary Coughlan to put the blocks on Michael O'Leary and they cannot be allowed to get away with it.
