2009 European Megadrive Championships

Interesting little article up on Sega-16 about the 2009 European Megadrive Championships. This year it was in Lisbon, Portugal.

Small enough event (Three countries were represented - no Ireland this year unfortunately), but looked like it was still a good bit of fun.

It'd be worth considering alright.

I remember Ireland won the first one over in the UK. Couple of the guys from the team posted here about it.

I suppose it depends where it's on.

Could always just organize an all Ireland one here instead!

I always thought the standard 'Batman' type shaped Megadrive D pad was horrible for playing Street Fighter. There's something about it that does not lend itself well to pulling off a lot of the moves. Plus I dont even need to mention having to press start to scroll between kick and punch.

The smaller 6 button D pad is great though. Are yours official infa red wireless ones?

oh yeah, its impossible to play sf2 without the 6 button. yea mine are official wireless 6 button pads. they are a small bit bigger and more comfortable than the wired officials.
