how to remove petrol from shoeleather

Hi.
I just accidentally spilt petrol on my leather shoes while filling up.

Anyone know what's the best way of removing it without damaging the leather further.

Obviously there are going to be some kerrazzy responses but i'd appreciate advice as well.
Thanks.

Fire cleanses all. FIRE. FIRE. FIRE. EHEHEHEHE.
What you call "damage" I call 'character'.

Advice? In AH? Are you an idiot? Try Fashion and Appearance...for...advice...hmmm.

Petrol will evaporate. You don't need to do anything.
