DVD Forum.

Basically this is a DVD forum and as the name suggests we converse about DVD or DVD Boxsets. On such a Forum we could talk about our favourite DVDs, new DVDs, how many DVD's you have, post DVD reviews, where you can attain certain rare DVDs and also discuss certain DVD boxsets and if we approve or disapprove of them. I dont know about everyone else but I have a soft spot for DVD boxsets. Ihave piles of them. Anyway, this is just a suggestion and if you agree, disagree or simply Atari Jaguar this idea please vote in the above poll.If you wish to abuse me please do so in a PM.I also have other suggestions for the forum but need time to think as I am shattered. That is all. Thank you.

Hmmmmmm, well knowing what goes on in Films I'd say this is probably justified as a subforum of it (even though not all DVDs are films).

Yeah, I'll support this. The only thing is I don't like the idea of splitting a forum up into all of it's major constituents cos' then instead of 1 or 2 convenient forums with a fair amount of posts you get a load of subforums that are a nuisance to navigate and each with a meagre amount of posts (although that may not be a problem with a big forum like Films).

Still though, supportage.

It's a no from me, I'm afraid - Other than DvD's 'non-film' based, there is very little else that can't be discussed in the Films Board (Which I assume doesn't disallow discussion of DvD's).

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, however.

Yes I understand but in the films forum the discussion of non- film DVDs is prohibited so this is a good chance to talk about these 'miscellaneous' DVDs such as comedy DVDs,documentaries, sports, the list goes on and on.

No! Why split off discussions that would be fine in Films or TV, not in favour of this at all.

Yes, but why clog up these forums when we could just use a DVD sub-forum?

They're hardly clogged up, I really don't see the point in splitting them off other than just "for the sake of it" or to have yet another board.

Your way people will be discussing how great movie X is on the Films board, and then again on the DVD board. I don't see the benefit personally.

I understand but if you discuss a film on the films board you can discuss the DVD and all the extras and easter eggs.

I understand the difference between reviewing a film and reviewing the DVD (in terms of extras and eggs and so on), but I really don't see the merit of this forum, given that a lot of people wouldn't be as into the minutiae as you appear to be
