Left out the Knicks conveniently, there's 15 in the east, and the knicks being bottom of the most average of the three divisions doesn't help their cause. I meant playoffs, not regular season. The way things stand I see either Detroit, Boston or Cleveland pairing off with the Heat in the East decider. Shaq and Dwyane may have to face the likes of last years champions Detroit (no pushover this year, they've recovered well from events vs Indiana), Boston, with Pierce, Payton, Walker and Davis now all shooting over 25ppg on a regular basis, or Cleveland with similar centre and point guard strength in the form of Ilgauskas and Lebron

id have to agree, although the diesel always steps up his game in playoffs. shaq never disappoints.
detroit are a stronger unit. the wallaces form a human barrier, and few players in the league ben's size can shoot pressure shots (from anywhere) like he can. tayshaun - nice counters and stronger than he looks, rip's always a big scorer too. dont rule boston or cleveland out though... the celtics are putting together the biggest win streak in the league at the moment with the exception of miami, and only injury can stop them being a serious challenge in the playoffs. cleveland were unlucky not to make playoffs last year, came down to the last 3 games if i remember correctly, and despite losing boozer they're still a force to be reckoned with. |
