After a 4 point hit I've 8 for the double GW + Siggy, Tevez and RVP. It's all about lucking out on your captain choice though.

Dempsey, Cisse, Jelavic, Bale, VDV... one of them will score big.

What are peoples thoughts on Mata for the double gameweek? Trying to decide between him and Dempsey at the moment, Dempsey has two away fixtures, Liverpool and Everton. Mata has two home games, QPR and Newcastle. Is theree a doubt whether Mata will play both games or not?

I like Chelsea's run in, home to Blackburn on the last day and Chelsea need to fight hard for champions League Places.

    I'm taken a 16 point hit!

6 transfers (2 free) this week.

    Out go; Walcott,Kelly,Rooney,Ferguson,Varmaelen and Valencia.
    In come; Cabaye,Skertel,Saurez,Downing,Assou-Ekotto and Bale.

My team for next week will be
    Friedel,
    Skertel,Simpson,BAE;
    Cabaye,Bale,Downing ,Dempsey;
    Saurez,Cisse and RVP.
    Subs; Ruddy,Caulker,McAuley,McClean.

I'll have 10 players for the DGW.
I'm going to take a huge gamble on Liverpool doing something this week. They have been a bit unlucky recently, making chances but not scoring. Saurez or Cisse for captain, I think!

Downing will get you 3 points. Definitely not worth the hit.

Captain Suarez for the DGW........and no i am not drunk!!!!

Sold Rooney for him as i reckon the derby will be a low scoring affair, benching any City or Utd players i have
Have 9 doubles plus Siggy and Vorm or Mignolet in goal

Suarez will probably be rested for the cup final so you'll most likely only get one game out of him.

really torn on a mid for the double gameweek

who would you go for from these three?

vdv overdue, its now or never for this double gw surely
dempsey, hard fixtures but a goal or assist would make it worhtwhile
    mata...will he play both games

ill have 7 dgws so want to make it 8
cant possibly leave out siggy or caulker home to wolves
and a little bit scared to leave out verma as hes one defender
who always threatens the goal and having him on the bench
    wouldnt sit well with me

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,049 ✭✭✭unkymo

I know its nuts but f**k it, I need to gamble this week!

I have more or less 2 teams for this week while most of my rivals have 4 or 5 players in for the DGW.

I'm captaining Saurez. I'm presuming he'll play at least 60 minutes in each game which will be 8 points and if he scores then thats another 8 which wipes out the 16 point hit. Whatever Cabaye,Skertel and Downing do over 2 games each will be a bonus!

That's IF he scores... He'll probably get rested a bit for the cup final too...

    For me.....

Wildcard in play at the mo. Went for Howard in goals with Cahill, BAE and Verm in defence.

Up top it's Jelly, Cisse and RVP. Midfield's my only worry. Currently have Siggy, Dempsey, VdV and Mata. It's a toss up between VdV and Bale so that might change. VdV will be on penos if Ade misses out though so that's a help. Not at all happy with Mata, just not sure he'll get enough gametime over the two games. I'll see how Chelsea get on at the Nou Camp first though.

Subs are Jevans, Val (both of whom I'll be keeping), Turner and Vorm. Might get Sczesney (?) for his last two games. If not, it'll be Begovic or maybe Ruddy. I'm considering a Lpool defender for Turner and starting them ahead of Verm but still not sure I want to do that.

Toss up between Jelly and Cisse for captain. It's on J at the mo but I might change that later in the week.

Any must have players if you're playing the wildcard?

Quick question, when playing your wildcard, if you play it today for example, does this still allow you to make unlimited transfers for the week?

    Yes

so far my transfers this week look like the following

    sagna > shotton
    ireland > mata
    mcclean > pienaar
    aguero > cisse

will leave me with 6 DGW players, the four above and Bale and BAE. Have a wildcard so may tinker a little more with this.

Jesus man you have a wildie why not go all out and go 11

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,094 ✭✭✭SpaceCowb0y

Ok so far ive taken a 4 point hit and brought Dempsey in for Arteta and Jelavic for RVP.

Am contmeplating taking a 12 point hit considering iv an 80 point gap at the top of the table as ive said before but will definitely be making at least 1 more change.

    So far im thinking either:

Ship R Taylor out for Simpson (possible 2 CS, Newcastle have tough fixtures but there on fire lately!)

    Or

Swap Sessegnon for either Bale or VDV (Had Bale for a long time and sub'd him for Sess for the Wolves game (Epic fail) but he hasnt really done anything much lately or VDV but is he likely to play both games?)

Any other suggestions... Was thinking Mata but he has the CL to play so could be rested??

Mata & Lampard are prone to rotation so its hard to justify a 4 point hit for them

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,727 ✭✭✭darego

    Went
    mcclean > cabaye
    walcott > dempsey
    van persie > jelavic

For an 8 pt hit. Worth it though i would say! Leaves me with 8 doublers

    team is
    Begovic
    simpson gallas chaulker
    dempsey bale cabaye sigurdsson
    cisse(C) aguero jelavic

benched szczney, valencia, lescott and evans. 7 mil in the bank probably could have worked something better oh well. Its all fun at this stage,107 points clear in my money league

Had thought about it, am currently 12 points clear at top but second has 2 villa players tonight, Given and Weimann. Reason I wasn't going for 11 was because I am trying not to ruin myself for the last two gameweeks as well. Would be very tough to pick a full squad that would perform well in the last few gameweeks as well. My team at the moment is

    Mignolet
    Shotton, Simpson, BAE
    Bale,Pienaar,Mata, Valencia
    Rooney,Cisse(c),RVP

    Al-Habsi, Taylor,Evans,Johnson

Could still possible change Mata to Dempsey if I wanted but not sure, fulham are away both games, Chelsea at home both of theirs.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,180 ✭✭✭cullenswood

    Sorenson

    Walker, Kelly, Simpson
Davies M, Walcott, Siggy, Bale, Valenci
    RVP, Rooney

    Evans, Holt, Richards.

Leading my League by only 18 points. Team in a mess, have 2 free subscription and 1.4 in bank. I'm willing to take a points hit. Will certainly be getting rid of Walcott and Richards, and prob Holt. Going to bring in Cisse, but not sure who else. Any advice lads?

I can't see any obvious changes at the moment apart from Jellyfish, if even him so my plan will be this

Tevez(what a fail this week cus I sold Rooney) - Jelevic
    Valencia - Ben Arfa
    Fergason - Cabaye
    -8 point hit

Leaves me with 7.0 in the bank. Opinions please?

Maybe consider an Everton midfielder instead of Ben Arfa or Cabaye. Their fixtures are better and attacking form similar. Both teams have scored 2 or more in their last 5 games.

    Newcastle v Everton
    36 Wigan (A) Fulham (H)
    36 Chelsea (A) Stoke City (A)
    37 Man City (H) Wolves (A)
    38 Everton (A) Newcastle (H)

Worth taking the 4 point hit to bring in Dempsey for Silva?

I have BAE and Cahill. Struggling to see how I could have had a worse run over the last couple of weeks!
