Hey, just got a weather monitor plugin for Ubuntu and it needs the weather.com location code for Dublin to get the weather for here (reads an RSS feed from weather.com and parses it)

I can't find the code anywhere... anyone know what it is?

(Austin TX is 78704 btw if that's any help so yis know what I'm talking about)

Have you tried the metar codes?:-

    EIDW - Dublin Airport
    EIKN - Connacht Airport (Knock)
    EICK - Cork Airport
    EINN - Shannon Airport

The easy way to find the "ZIP" code for any application that uses weather.com data is to just visit the relevant city's page on the site and the code is visable at the end of the URL, for example Dublin is:
    http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/local/EIXX0014

and as trogdor said Milan is:

    http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/local/ITXX0042

Here's a list of the rest of the Irish codes I'd compiled when writing a weather widget a while back:

It's nothing major, just a sidebar type widget for an intranet page.

I'll dig out the code in work tomorrow and post it up somewhere.
