Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Wow that's a bit crazy. Love the damage counter under the combo counter and the old vanilla x factor effect though

    If they kept that function in there, it would've deterred people from just using easy TACs to get massive damage/meter for no risk other than "it didn't work". At least that way it'd add some proper risk to the reward.

    I bet at first I would've disliked the damage listed below the combo counter due to the screen looking cluttered. But I really wish it was an option now :C

    I notice there doesn't seem to be x Factor available immediately at the start of the fight, the little red balls in the hud only start glowing much later in the fight. Was that normal in vanilla?

    you could X-Factor instantly in vanilla just like in UMVC3.

    this was the reason why the put those huge "X" symbols in the HUD, because people couldn't tell if they had used xf yet or not.

    The tac counter in that beta looked silly

    Just allowing you to combo once you landed on the ground after the TAC Reject wall bounce would have been ideal

    I was surprised you couldn't as well, but I'm nearly sure I hit combod a c.H with Magneto after a counter one time, could never replicate it though.

    I wish they did something along those lines. The reward far outweighs the risk for TACs at this stage.

    How did that look silly?
    Just reversed the situation for the defender guessing right and he got the tac instead of just ending the combo.

    It's a great idea. Tac too strong.

    I don't see anything wrong with it. No doubt it would've looked confusing at first, but they could've just added a big flash of light to indicate the TAC had been countered before it continues.

    This also would explain why the camera was designed to follow the players so high with things going on in the stage background only after a minimum of 2 upwards TACs. We would've seen a hell of a lot more of those effects had this stayed in the game :C
