    Hi,

Just wondering if there is a circus on in Ballincollig at the moment.

Saw two signs driving through it this morning but couldn't make out where it actually was.

Anybody have any information on it?

    Thanks

There's a circus in the Opera House at the moment, perhaps that's what the signs were for.

Saw signs for circus down in blackpool today. Think it said it is on in blackpool. Big sign saying Exotic animals. Was that similar to the one you saw OP?

So correct in that there's a circus in Ballincollig, but two other circuses in Cork at the moment also - madness if it's true.

I urge everyone to boycott circuses that use animals.

I hate the circus, wouldn't bring my kids to one in a million years. This footage is shocking.

after watching the above i couldn't decide if i wanted to go, for years we have been entertained by circuses, and my OH has never been to one so i wanted to show him an animal circus before they were gone,

    then i saw this:

i just can't bring myself to go! the poor elephant must have been desperate to get away :(

    Works well methinks.

Have never been to the circus nor do I think I'll ever go. I can't agree with it, especially with the case in the UK last year of the elephant being abused.

That's Funderland. Same thing that's been in the showgrounds every Easter for about 20 years now, if not more.

What was the name of that circus? I will add it to my long boycott list.

The circus "trainers" break the spirit of the poor animals through non-stop torture (both physical and mental). No wonder the misfortune elephant was desperate to escape those thugs. Most people have no idea about what happens behind the scenes at circuses.

Please watch this video of how elephants are trained, you might think twice about going to the circus. Fair play to anyone going if they are aware this goes on. Also look at the bullhooks that are used and one was used on the elephant in cork.

Went out to see the runaway elephant today, it was the smallest of a heard of them. They had been paraded through the SC the previous day, "Baby" simply wanted more of the limelight and free treats ~ they remember and the kids gave them loads of treats ~

BTW, it sold out after the news hit, advance bookings as far away as Limerick are flooding in.
