I have been answering the Irish Opinion surveys almost since they started. I have earned 4 x €10 Tesco vouchers, and this is answering every single survey they have sent me. Some I am not eligable for, I accept that.

    BUT

My first €10 voucher I claimed never reached me. I emailed them explaining and they said they had sent it and there was nothing they could do.

    AND

I have very recently completed a survey for them on alcoholic drink consumption. I went way past the profiling questions and answered many questions on how often I drank differerent drinks, and how I felt about different drinks etc... at least 8 pages and about 50 questions past the age, children, occupation, where you live profiling section.
They gathered all this info and then suddenly told me they already had enough participants and stopped. The bar at the top of the screen said that I had completed 25% of a survey they had offered me €7.50 for.

As far as I am concerned they are scamming and getting out of payments. This has happened to me before with them on several occaisions, but never to such a degree.

I have written and complained, asking for my 25% of the fee, and all I got back was that same generic email from Isabel. They hadn't even read my email giving the details, and if they did they obviously ignored it and think I will go away and be quiet.... WRONG :D

    Same here.

I think I've gotten about €50 over the years and I'm doing the surveys for a very long time.

I too get a lot of some surveys filled in and like you have answered pages of questions of the topic of the survey and once they've gathered the info they're looking for and then get the "they already have enough participants".

I've seen several threads on various website forums where more than a few people have experienced the same.

I think mentioned that particular one further up for the booze, I emailed them about that , and said they wouldnt use the data blah blah

I have gotten 4x10 in the last 10 months or so though.

Looks like they have done the same thing to many people then on this recent drinks survey then... offer big reward... get people to do a smaller survey and then tell them they have too many people !!!

It gives the industry as a whole a bad name. The parent company is called Rewards Now Plc and operates out of London. Irish Opinions is run from that office in London also. Not that I have a problem with that, I don't, but they flaunt their membership of ESOMAR, and the MRA among a long list ! These organisations require apparently high standards of behaviour.... hmmm

I signed up for Irish Opinions a Paid Survey service a 6 months ago... the service seems like a bit of a scam... just to quote what they offer you:

The scam seems to be the number of surveys they send you never reaches the €10 euro mark. Since I signed up I have only offered 4 surveys that made a total of €7.. Anyone else noticed this?

HEY MAN, TOTALLY!!, The same happened to me, never got a Euro, (their emails are now on my spam list)

Yeah I had the same thing happen to me with that survey probably about a year or so ago. Same reward and everything.

Just rehashed and then take your opinions and don't pay out. It was in my pending queue for ages and then I never got paid. A few months later, it just disappeared from my list.

You have got to watch these chancers. They are so slow to pay out if they even bother to pay out at all.

Have received €20 worth of Tesco vouchers so far this year, so they do pay but yeah they take their time on issuing them.

This one mentions some online. the site itself looks weird but they have a bit on each company with no referal links which makes me believe they are more honest http://www.takingpaidsurveysonline.com

Have received 30 euros in vouchers now, but havent had a survey in a month?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,476 ✭✭✭✭Our man in Havana

Goes that way at times. You could get 4 or 5 in a week.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,780 ✭✭✭alie

Yeah and you fill out a load of questions and then told you are not suitable or survey full, that drives me mad! Do you find some of them really boring? And some of them make you choose an answer you dont want to give!

    Hi,

I was concerned about the level of financial info they require about you so I did not answer that section.

I found that if you are too cagey you get very few surveys to do.

Did any one do the survey around the 24/25 of September it was for 4 euro and not get paid for it yet? Took me ages to do the survey and am getting very annoyed that they have not credited me yet.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,476 ✭✭✭✭Our man in Havana

It can take a month sometimes to get paid for some surveys.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,159 ✭✭✭✭phasers

I have a good few surveys still pending, some are a few weeks old now.

I do the surveys infrequently but have still managed to get 20 quid in vouchers in the past few months, love the site.

I received an invite to a survey on 'Consumer Goods' just a few minutes ago - when I opened the email, gmail said it had been sent 0 minutes ago.

I continued onto the survey & within a few minutes, received this message:

    Thank you for your interest.

We have reached our target number of participants and the survey is now closed.

They must not have been looking to survey many people!

Yes you are one of the many suckers who have fallen for the survey scam. The only survey I ever got paid for was on Pigsback.com they credited points and I bought mobile topup. All the rest are scams and market researh companies make millions on then and never pay out.

I've gotten 40 in tesco vouchers over the last 18 months :D

The trick is to fill out the about you parts on the site, then when it comes to filling in the survey be clever about it, eg. if its about groceries dont say you're male 18 etc.

    Dude, that's cheating..

    We're all in this psy-op together.🤨

You have to be clever or you will never make any money from it.
