Does the price on these seem too good to be true? (when you convert it to euros?) a link would be handy! http://www.usa-monsterheadphones.com/sale/Monster-Beats-By-Dr-Dre-Studio-Headphones-Steve-Jobs-Apple-174.html

    They're counterfeit.

If you even read the description it would be obvious it's a fake.

I suggest you go and ask here if you intend to spend that much on headphones

If you're only interested in style over substance perhaps give it a miss.

    But maybe they are:
precision-engineered to show the full sound of the music that the to demand the rock, hip hop and R&B.

    ???

"1. Q: Which kind of payment is a better choice?

A: We think Western Union is a better choice for payment. If you paid by Western Union, you will get fancy gifts and 5% discount from the products. We have received much fraudulent information, so we suggest you to pay by Western Union. Of course, we will strictly follow the returning and exchanging principles and make sure of the quality of the products you ordered so that we could get your agreement."

Do you want headphones or a fashion statement?

Do you want headphones or a fashion statement?

It's very depressing how many people would shell out all that money for the latter.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,385 ✭✭✭run_Forrest_run

anyone stupid enough to spend 'fat stacks' on Mr. Dre's marketing muscle deserves to be scammed.
Here you go, these are proven by professionals in the studio. You won't see Sound Engineers wearing Beats any time soon.

Am I the only one who wants to punch Beats wearers in the face?

The quality on the genuine ones is not fantastic; I would suspect the counterfeits to be absolute muck.

Beats are headphones for people who want to be seen using Beats. There is a reason that even the people who are spokespeople for them don't actually use them in the studio.

And why is that? because they spent their own hard earned money on their product of choice?! Never understood the irrational hatred some people have of those who wear beats. I love they way they exaggerate bass, also my studios get serious abuse in the gym and still look brand new, unlike a previous pair of sony headphones I had that basically fell apart under the same wear and tear. Keeping in mind I went to an electronics superstore here in Holland and tested every last pair of headphones in the shop before I purchased and still opted to buy the beats. If they were as terrible and shoddy a product as some make out, they wouldnt be selling by the bucketload given their high price..

Brand recognition, more than anything. They're a decent quality product, but their best set are probably worth, at most, €150.

i think if you look into specialist forums on the topic you will see its a misconception by many that these are anything more than a marketing scam

I have used mine everyday for the last 18 months, they're still as shiny as day I opened the box, they clamp around my ears perfectly in such a secure way that they never slide off my head during various exercises as I have experienced with other brands once you work up a bit of a sweat. For someone who enjoys the heavier bass for primarily dance music and rap music the sound is exactly what I want out of them.. I really dont feel like I have been scammed by a marketing ploy, in fact if half the electronics I bought did as good a job as my beats do Id be a lot happier... Not everyone want whats considered conventionally perfect sound, I am more than happy to pay a premium price for headphones that just happen to tick more of my boxes than other headphones I have tried, and if that warrants a punch in the face or accusations of being duped, well I guess Im just a sucker!!

Lol at wearing headphones that big in the gym.

    You must look ridiculous.

Hope you mean you work there.

Nope, got the red beats clamped on in the gym every single day, honestly couldnt give a rats how I look as long as the work gets done!! the beats are a great tool to stop people coming up talking to you, distracting you when ya wanna get your focus on!

    Grado ftw.

No point trying to convince rgose who wont listen...
    Life's too short.

I was just given a pair of beats as a present, have to say they are not as bad as people are making out. I would never shell out that amount of money for them myself but i am quite fond of them! At least my own Sennheiser PX 200-II's are getting a break for a little bit.
