    15.6 inch screen.
Intel Pentium dual core t4300 processor.
    4gb ddr2
3 usb ports, hdmi slot, memory card reader.
think the graphics is mobile 4 intel family or something like that, nothing amazing anyway:p.
    New battery bought at christmas.
There is also a gash in the top corner of the screen bezel where it fell and broke the screen but i obviously have put a new one on it.:pac:

anyone have any idea what it'd be worth thinking of selling to upgrade.

Just wondering how much an S-IPS 2007WFP is worth?
It's mint, apart from a stuck sub-pixel in the top left corner which displays red on a 100% black background (normal otherwise) - I only noticed after nearly 2 years of use so its practically invisible.

I was thinking about upgrading to a U2711

Sold similar machine on adverts, only i had antec 600 case and gtx460 768, It went for 550 with the monitor and all peripherals.

You might get 400 euro for the base unit only if you're lucky but from my experience I know that youll be better off with splitting these parts on seperate ads. People tend to barge on whole desktops because sellers want to get rid due to upgrades etc, when it comes to parts usually there's more than one person interested in it, which for you means nothing esle but profit.

I am thinking of selling my PC which I built a couple of years ago due to having a 1 year old running around and lack of time for PC building / upgrading / gaming. I tend to just use the laptop now

This is the system I built at the time, I'd greatly appreciate any ballpark estimate on what it might be worth (I have an idea but I could be off) as I will probably put it up for sale as a complete system as opposed to selling parts separately.

    Monitor:
LG M198WA (also has built in analogue TV tuner & remote)

    Case:
    Akasa Mirage

    Motherboard:
    DFI Infinity P-965 S (LGA 775)

    PSU:
    Akasa 650W P650FF BK

    CPU:
    Core 2 Duo E6550

    RAM:
    4 GB total (2x1GB OCZ, 1x2GB Generic)

    HDD:
    750GB Seagate Barracuda ES (Sata)

    Graphics Card:
    nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX (512MB)

    Sound:
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer 7.1 Soundcard
    Onboard Audio

    DVD RW:
    LG GSA4040B

    OS:
Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) Clean Install

i would ask 250 for the base unit and around 80 for the screen, if you manage to find a genuine copy of windows somewhere cheap, I think you'll be selling it quicker and for more cash

its a nice case btw =]

Built this out of spare bits recently, good enough for playing games at medium settings and slightly older games on high:

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13GHz
    Motherboard: Asus P5N73-CM
    RAM: 2GB 533MHz
    Graphics: nVidia GeForce 7900GS 256MB
    Hard Drives: 2 160GB IDE
    Disc Drive: DVD+RW IDE
Case: An old Compaq Presario case
    Power Supply: Seasonic 430Watt
    OS: Windows 7 64bit
Plus a TV tuner card & a card reader

Could anyone give an estimate on this system please? Was hoping to get €400-450 all in but think I am being a bit ambitious...

    Case: Antec P180v.B (P182?)
    CPU: Intel E2200
    Motherboard: MSI MS-7519
RAM: 4GB (not sure of model, think it may have been 'Value Select' range?)
    Storage: 500GB
    Graphics: HD4870 1GB
PSU: Cooler Master M520 80+ Modular
TV Card: Hauppage (don't know model but was mid-range at time of build)
    DVD-RW
    OS: Windows 7 Home Prenium
    Monitor: 22" LCD 1680x1050

Ideally sold as a whole but from reading this thread splitting seems to be the way to go? Would I expect little or no demand for any of the components if I was to split?

250ish not including W7. If you have a decent case and power supply you could add another 100 or so to it, depending on the quality and brand.

I'd say your spot on with 400 euro assuming the W7 licence isn't OEM. Probably wouldn't get much more than that though. You'd get more demand on seperate items rather than the entire PC I'm afraid. If you decide to split I recommend asking for a little more to cover for your own extra labour on taking the pc apart and delivering/posting seperately. :)

Probably your best bet. Faster machines selling for 600 yoyos (new). You're lucky if you get 350-400 for it.

Anyone an Idea how much a Dell XPS 700 is worth nowadays?
    Specs:

    Intel Dual-Core 6400 - 2.13GHz
    2 gb Ram (2 x 1 Gb)
400 Gb Hd + 150 Gb Hard - Not sure of the speeds atm
    2 x DVD rewriter
    Nvidia 8800
    Copy of win 7 ultimate

The Ram is low relative to the rest of the machine, any ideas if a Ram upgrade would pay back in the selling price?

400 Gb Hd + 150 Gb Hard - Not sure of the speeds atm
    2 x DVD rewriter
    Nvidia 8800
    Copy of win 7 ultimate

The Ram is low relative to the rest of the machine, any ideas if a Ram upgrade would pay back in the selling price?

Anyone an Idea how much a Dell XPS 700 is worth nowadays?
    Specs:

    Intel Dual-Core 6400 - 2.13GHz
    2 gb Ram (2 x 1 Gb)
400 Gb Hd + 150 Gb Hard - Not sure of the speeds atm
    2 x DVD rewriter
    Nvidia 8800

w/o Monitor? Good machine, but given the age (5 yrs) and specs I'd say around €150... 200 with luck (8800 GT/GTS/GTX/Ultra? Win 7 Ultimate Retail or OEM)

Certainly not, let the buyer deal with it.

Hard to say, the 8800 GTS is comparable with a GT440 which you get for ~75 Euro (a lot cheaper if you order online from abroad, $60 in the States).

In the end you might get more if you sell the basic machine for lets say 120, and sell parts like the 8800, 2nd hard drive, 2nd DVD burner seperately for a few quid.
